Jacqueline Brumley & Shimon Tchobutaru are devoted to a life of Yoga. Together they have over 70 years of collective experience and have been sharing their expert knowledge with students for over 4 decades.
In a world where knowledge is available at our fingertips, where information on any subject is saturated & diluted, Jacqui & Shimon are learned teachers & are walking testaments of Yoga authenticity.
They are skilled, knowledgeable and highly experienced Yoga instructors. Coming from a diverse background of Yoga teaching styles, both Jacqui & Shimon gained Iyengar Yoga certification which they taught for many years. They have also trained in the more classical systems of Yoga before formulating their own unique style of teaching.

To date they are immersed in the deep study of Yoga philosophy and blend this rich knowledge into their classes making Yogic wisdom accessible and easy to understand.

In Melbourne they ran a busy Yoga School for 20+ years where they taught a diverse range of people both young and old. It was here that they learnt to adapt Yoga to cater for the different age groups and abilities.

Throughout their careers, Jacqui & Shimon have also travelled extensively to Europe and India to undertake formal study with many renowned Yoga masters.
In a world where knowledge is watered down and so readily available, Jacqui & Shimon teach with knowledge learnt firsthand.

Jacqui & Shimon are Yoga experts!
They are committed to offering authentic Yoga teachings that are accessible to each individual.
Jacqui started Yoga at 16 and taught her first Yoga class when she was 19. She has now taught Yoga for over 4 decades.
Shimon started Yoga in his 30’s in Perth and soon after completed teacher training to begin his teaching vocation.
Together they have many years of collective experience, knowledge and a deep understanding of the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of this ancient practice.
They have trained far and wide with many Yoga masters and have formulated their own teaching style.
This style is systematic in its approach. It is safe, easy to follow with clear and concise instructions promoting flexibility and strength in the physical body and steadiness and clarity in the mind.
They teach Yoga with a wholistic approach and tailor their classes with a collective application to physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
In Melbourne they ran a busy Yoga school for 20+ years before relocating to King Island Tasmania.
They offer online Yoga classes, Yoga retreats, pre-reordered Yoga classes, private tuition, one on one or small group sessions.

In a world where anxiety levels are sky high, people have lost the ability to sense what an alternative clam & focused mind feels like. They live in a state of constant angst and high alert. More than ever, our communities need the ancient practices of Meditation to balance out these high levels of anxiety that plague us. Meditation is the practice of learning to sit still, connect with your breath, focus & steady the thinking mind. This results in a calm and stable state of mind. It is through the regular practice of meditation that we can transform the mind from its raw undisciplined state which is full of worries and anxieties to more a more disciplined, integrated, peaceful and awakened state. Meditation has been scientifically proven to be an effective tool to treat and manage many physical and mental conditions. Jacqui & Shimon have years of experience and knowledge in practicing and teaching meditation. Their guided meditations are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners. Stretch Therapy is a programme designed by Shimon Tchobutaru. It is a system of specific stretching exercises tailored for the mature age male. (50+) Over his many years of teaching, Shimon observed that Men in their middle to mature years suffer from excessive bodily stiffness. Whilst living on King Island he also noticed that the rural male continues to work late into life. As a result of farmers working hard and long in life, he realised that many men are suffering from physical discomforts and limitations. Through these observations and many discussions with rural men, Shimon formulated a Stretch Therapy programme to aid stiff and rigid bodies. The programme was launched on King Island targeting the rural male and has proven not only a great success but a boon for men dealing with stiff and tight bodies. Shimon’s classes have help men with back problems, shoulder issues, tight hips and hamstrings, poor posture and general aches and pains. The participants have gained more mobility in their bodies, suffered less pain and gained greater levels of energy. Along with the physical benefits, Shimon’s Stretch therapy programmes also promotes mental wellbeing where the mind becomes steady, calm and focused. This Stretch Therapy programme has evolved from Shimon’s many years of teaching Yoga and other physical modalities. He has modified Yoga poses and physical stretches, so they are accessible, adaptable and easy to follow. All you need to practice our Stretch Therapy programmes is an open mind and a willingness to gain more movement in your body.
Jacqui & Shimon offer Yoga retreats to their beautiful home in King Island, rural Victoria and India. Their retreats are not only an immersion into living a yogic lifestyle but offer a complete release from the busyness of daily life. Whether the retreat be short or long, you will have the opportunity to step off “treadmill of life” and immerse yourself in yoga, meditation, mindfulness and nature. Spending time living a wholistic way, you will be rewarded with a renewed sense of wellness in body, mind and spirit. Jacqui & Shimon’s yoga retreats incorporate daily yoga, meditation and mindfulness. During their retreats you will have time to surround yourself with like-minded people, bask in nature, rest & read and nourish your body with healthy vegetarian cuisine. Their retreats offer a host of extras, such as massage and therapeutic treatments. Rest assured; you’ll leave feeling deeply replenished in every way possible!
