The spine is the axis of our being.

It is the spine and the brain that are the core around which the body and mind function.

Everything starts with the spine. The embryo in the womb, in it’s third week of development, first creates a neural tube. This is the precursor to the spine and the rest of the body grows around this central axis.

In Yoga, great emphasis is placed on the spine & everything is seen through three dimensions of physical, subtle, and causal.

The spine too can be understood in these terms: we have a physical spine, an energetic spine, and a spiritual spine.

Through various Yogic practices, we can engage with each of these three levels:

  • Asana addresses the physical spine.
  • Pranayama works with the energetic spine.
  • Meditation connects us to the spiritual spine.

 

This workshop invites you to explore these dimensions of the spine.

Jacqui and Shimon will guide you through practices that deepen your Yoga experience and help you awaken the physical, energetic, and spiritual aspects of your sacred spine, enhancing your overall well-being.
